Trade License
A trade licence is an authorisation granted by the municipal corporation to an individual or organization to conduct specific business activities at a designated location. The proprietor of the company is not permitted to use the same trade licence for any other commercial activity.
Overview
The Municipal Corporation Act governs trade licenses. It guarantees that the risks and health issues brought on by performing commercial operations won’t affect the inhabitants. It also guarantees that the company’s commercial operations adhere to the established guidelines, policies, safety precautions, and standards.
If a commercial transaction is discovered to be unlawful, it will be deemed a crime and could lead to severe punishment and legal action. Every year, trade licenses must be renewed; the typical renewal period is from January 1 to March 30.
