ESI Registration
One social security program is the Employee State Insurance Scheme of India. centred on giving workers and their families social protection. in situations like illness, childbirth, and death or disability brought on by an occupational hazard or work-related harm.
Overview
Organisations with more than ten permanent employees whose monthly salaries fall below Rs. 21,000 are subject to the Employee State Insurance Act. If an employer satisfies the aforementioned requirements, they must register for employee state insurance. Once there are ten employees, the registration must be completed within fifteen days.
While the employer is required to contribute 0.75% of his monthly wage each month of the year, the ESIC Scheme requires the employer to contribute 3.25% of the total monthly salary payable to the employee. The only employees who are free from paying their contribution are those whose daily wage is less than Rs. 176.
